Background: Women with hypothalamic amenorrhoea (HA) have reduced LH pulsatility causing amenorrhea and infertility. Estrogen supplementation provides symptomatic relief for women with HA, but does not restore the pulsatile pattern of LH secretion which necessary for fertility.
